Haryana LEET Syllabus 2026–27

Complete chapter-wise syllabus for both B.Tech (Engineering) and B.Pharmacy streams. Based on the official Haryana State Technical Education Society guidelines.

B.Tech Lateral Entry Detailed Syllabus

Applicable for all engineering diploma holders and B.Sc. graduates.

1. Applied Mathematics

25 Questions / 25 Marks
  • Algebra & Matrices: Rank of matrices, inverse, linear independence, eigenvalues & eigenvectors, Cayley-Hamilton theorem.
  • Differential Calculus: Successive differentiation, Leibnitz theorem, Taylor & Maclaurin series, partial differentiation, Jacobian.
  • Integral Calculus: Definite integrals, reduction formulae, double and triple integrals, evaluation of area and volumes.
  • Differential Equations: First-order linear and non-linear ODEs, Clairaut's form, second-order linear differential equations with constant coefficients.
  • Vector Calculus: Gradient, divergence, curl, line and surface integrals, Gauss divergence and Green's theorem.

2. Applied Physics

20 Questions / 20 Marks
  • Units & Measurements: Dimensions of physical quantities, errors and significant figures, dimensional analysis.
  • Mechanics & Properties of Matter: Newton's laws, work-energy theorem, conservation of linear momentum, rotational motion, moment of inertia, elasticity, surface tension and viscosity.
  • Wave Motion & Optics: Simple harmonic motion, wave velocity, resonance, interference of light, diffraction gratings, lasers and fiber optics.
  • Electricity & Magnetism: Coulomb's law, capacitors, Kirchhoff's laws, magnetic field due to current, electromagnetic induction, Faraday's laws.
  • Modern Physics: Photoelectric effect, X-rays, de-Broglie hypothesis, basic semiconductor diode physics.

3. Applied Chemistry

15 Questions / 15 Marks
  • Atomic Structure: Bohr's theory, quantum numbers, electronic configuration, periodic trends.
  • Chemical Bonding: Ionic and covalent bonds, hybridization, VSEPR theory, intermolecular forces.
  • Electrochemistry & Corrosion: Galvanic cells, electrode potential, Nernst equation, mechanisms of dry and wet corrosion and prevention methods.
  • Water Technology: Types of hardness, boiler feed problems (scale, sludge, priming, foaming), ion exchange and zeolite water softening processes.
  • Polymers & Fuels: Polymerization classification, bakelite, nylon, PVC, calorific value of fuels.

4. Engineering Basics & English

30 Questions / 30 Marks
  • Basic Electrical & Electronics (15 Qs): Ohm's law, nodal analysis, AC sinusoidal signals, RMS and average values, power factor, single-phase transformers, PN junction diodes, BJT amplifier basics.
  • Engineering Mechanics & Drawing (10 Qs): Coplanar force equilibrium, Lami's theorem, center of gravity, friction, orthographic and isometric projection fundamentals.
  • Communication Skills (10 Qs): English grammar, vocabulary, sentence correction, active/passive voice, technical reading comprehension.

B.Pharmacy Lateral Entry Detailed Syllabus

Covers standard 2-Year D.Pharmacy curriculum as approved by Pharmacy Council of India.

1. Pharmaceutics & Pharmacognosy

  • Prescription handling, calculations for weights and measures, posology and dosage formulations.
  • Solid, liquid, semi-solid and sterile dosage forms; processing and quality control standards.
  • Crude drugs: Botanical source, therapeutic efficacy, active constituents of digitalis, senna, clove, ginger, rauwolfia.

2. Pharmacology & Jurisprudence

  • Pharmacology: Drug action mechanisms, routes of administration, toxicological side effects, cardiovascular and CNS drugs.
  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry: Antibiotics, synthetic antidiabetics, antihypertensives, antiseptics and disinfectants.
  • Pharmacy Law & Ethics: Pharmacy Act 1948, Drugs & Cosmetics Act 1940 and rules, Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
